Towards a vibrant Asia-Pacific market
日本語 |English
Last month, ORIZON Systems held a series of meetings with leading partner companies in Singapore to discuss future collaborations in order to build a new business foundation. At the meeting, we exchanged opinions on how to make the most of each other’s products, and were able to solidify the foundation of a cooperative relationship that will look forward to the next three to five years. In addition, many Japanese companies have bases in Singapore, and this visit also provided an opportunity to receive valuable feedback from Japanese companies with which we do business on a daily basis on how we can contribute in the future.
Aiming to build multifaceted relationships

In establishing this collaboration, we exchanged opinions while exploring the possibility of a broader range of cooperation rather than simply deploying our services. We aim to realize a collaboration model that leverages the strengths of Czech companies’ solutions, which will not only expand our business but also lead to the growth of our partner companies.
Beyondsoft, one of the companies we visited this time, has IT service bases all over the world and operates its global headquarters in Singapore. The office, which is also designed to host seminars and events, is located in a location with a panoramic view of Singapore’s iconic sights, including Marina Bay Sands, and provides an ideal environment for imagining various possibilities for collaboration.
The company has major bases in various Asian countries, including Japan, and offers a wide range of services, and they showed a strong interest in the various forms of collaboration we proposed. Through this meeting, we were able to determine the path forward for both companies to move forward with concrete action.
Leveraging collaboration centered on Flowmon

Flowmon products, which we are the sole Japanese distributor of, have built up a track record in Japan for over 10 years and have grown to be used by customers in a variety of industries. As part of our efforts to expand our business, we have been discussing the possibility of collaboration centered on Flowmon with the local partner company of Progress Software, which has the product in its portfolio, based on the success of Flowmon’s domestic deployment.
Progress has its headquarters in Singapore for the Asia-Pacific region, and is developing its business in the region, including Japan, as a hub. This time, we met with two of Progress’s partners based in Singapore. One of them, TechCOV, is a company that provides cloud-based IT services and has deployed many of Progress’s products in Singapore. The other, Pacific Tech, operates in Asian countries and is a major distributor of Progress. This discussion with both companies was an opportunity to focus on some of the Czech IT solutions we handle and take the first step towards our future promotion.
Condensed business energy

In Singapore, there are food stalls called “hawker centers” that are dotted all over the city, including on the floors of buildings and in the plazas between skyscrapers. Looking up at the city, the sight of skyscrapers lined up is similar to the office districts of New York and Tokyo, but the sight of hawker centers with smoke rising from them gives it a vibrancy and energy that is unique to Asia.
Through our conversations with the local branch offices of Japanese companies, we were able to learn a lot about the differences between the IT markets in Japan and Asia. We were also able to directly talk to the local people about the challenges they are currently facing, which helped us to map out a specific direction for future business development. Furthermore, they showed great interest in the Czech IT solutions we introduced, which gave us the energy to drive our business forward in the future.
In order to deploy Czech solutions in Japan, it is practically necessary to support them in Japanese. However, many Czech solutions are also provided in English, making them a highly compatible option for Asian countries where they can be implemented in English as is. For the local companies and Japanese company branches in Singapore that we visited this time, the possibility of realizing business models that take advantage of these characteristics through Czech solutions has expanded.
Widen the gap
Through this visit to Singapore, ORIZON Systems was able to further explore the possibility of collaboration with local IT companies. Singapore continues to grow as an IT hub in the ASEAN region, and there are ample opportunities to utilize the technology and experience cultivated in the Japanese market.
In the future, ORIZON Systems will work with Singapore companies to provide Flowmon products and Czech IT solutions, and to play a role in connecting various businesses. Furthermore, with a view to long-term collaboration, we aim to expand our business throughout the Asian market through technical workshops and joint marketing activities. Please keep an eye on ORIZON Systems’ efforts to see how our partnership with Singapore progresses in the future.
